For the Covid Johnson vaccine, is one dose sufficient for a person already vaccinated (3 months after the vaccine) or is a second dose necessary for better protection?

I recommend a second dose of the Johnson vaccine to increase protection against COVID-19. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunisation (SAGE) interim recommendations issued on 6 June 2022, available evidence suggests that the second dose of the Janssen vaccine 1-3 months after the first dose increases protection against COVID-19, especially among the risk population (people with immunocompromising conditions; age 18years and older).
Let me add that COVID-19 strains keep mutating, so the available evidence of vaccine dosage effectiveness may keep changing based on the results of clinical trials and effectiveness evaluation of existing vaccine doses.

Some improvement in immunity will occur with any vaccine. The vaccine to take is the vaccine that you can get.

The high antibody levels and other strong immune responses elicited by mix-and-match regimens suggested they would offer good protection against disease.
J& J vaccine is one dose for priming. It’s use as a booster was discontinued in Europe because of exclusive purchases of European governments of Moderna and Pfizer. Some constraints of age (18-50 ) were placed for a short duration (time to evaluate the clotting incidents increase) . By now, the use of the AstraZeneca or J&J as bossier vaccination are not as interesting as dual strains mRNA vaccines that might present a broader or more accurate protection. As boosters all vaccine are unidose. Thus in short J&J was the best economic option in the first year . Nowadays the best economic option is likely to be the newer protein vaccines as Sanofi or eventually Novavax while best efficacy is with Wuhan and omic combined
