well actually im looking for a topic related to oil spill and responses or environmental remediation, or something related to oil and gas reservoir management and EOR. my interest is mostly in these areas. i have background in chemical engineering and now for my master thesis i prefer a topic more related to what i mentioned above rather than doing simulations. however im familiar with MATLAB and HYSYS.
There are many topics related to petroleum and Environment but what is your specialization?

Exactly agree with you Fahd, you've got to describe your education, your area of interests, your specialization then only we would be able to suggest you something!!
I may suggest such topic (using your words): How the price of petroleum influences the development of environmental technologies. By this I understand R&D related to the shift to renewable energies. It is clear that the higher is oil price the higher is incentive for this shift. But you can collect empirical data confirming or opposing this thesis.This is an important topic but I do not know how you are prepared.

1- Effect of drilling fluids on environment and the methods of treatment (case study in Oil Well XXXX).
2- Types of Drilling Fluids (Water-based and Oil-based), effects on environment and the methods of treatment.
3- The risk of Hydrogen sulfide gas emissions during drilling and prevention methods.
4- Types of Solids control equipment’s and handling Drilling cuttings.
5- Ways of disposal Drilling cuttings and recycled products.
