Now most reputable international journals use iThenticate to detect plagiarism, so is there any way to check our manuscript for plagiarism before the submission. I am looking for a platform (unlike iThenticate) that is open to everyone and not dependent on any subscription or payment. Thanks
The best way to keep plagiarism out of our papers is to not plagiarize when we write.
If you use exact words, always put them in quotation marks and indicate the page number. Otherwise, rephrase and reword in your own words, while preserving the meaning of the source.
You might need to use some services provided online. Check http://www.duplichecker.com and http://www.plagtracker.com/. You might ned to pay however depending on the number of words.
I am of the opinion that immediate answers should be provided and then a long term plan to avoid plagiarism. A question has been asked, I assume the manuscript is ready for submission and therefore the advice for proper citation might not work now.
So I still insist on Web resources for immediate solution to this problem.
