Out-of-School Sports Participation Is Positively Associated with Physical Literacy, but What about Physical Education? A Cross-Sectional Gender-Stratified Analysis during the COVID-19 Pandemic among High-School Adolescents
I am so interested. I have been working on physical literacy for a long time. Now my Ph.D dissertation is the combination of environment and physical literacy of students. Cheers
We argue for assessing PL using more open-ended, less narrow assessment approaches. Here we review some of the more common assessments. Suggest you work on a more individualised charting/journey/mapping approach that can apply across the lifecourse, over using quite narrow and finite notions of FMS competency or fitness competency that privilege particular movement forms.
Article Assessing physical literacy in health and physical education
In Taiwan, following Whitehead's concept of physical literacy, we are investigating the posibility of nurturing individuals' physical literacy through the contents of physical activities and sports. This is a project which tries to understand the connections between individual's embodied dimension and the living environments. The first step we are doing is to develop and validate an instrument that will help us to see the possible connections in real situations. I am interested in your project and look forward to discussing with your team.
