Dear PV experts,
Lots of investigations have been executed on this Snail Trail topic.
An a recent plant inspection I found some strange appearence along such trails: Right above of the silver paste micro grid fingers I detected bubbles in the EVA foil. Some were clear, some were kind of brownish. There was no hot spot along the track which might have caused the bubbles by boiling (?) the EVA.
The poly cSi modules are exposed to the sun for two years at an anual irradiance of ~2200kWh/m² and up to 1150W/m² on POA. Ambient temperatures are in a range of -5°C (winter, night) to +45°C (summer, midday).
Has anyone seen similar stuff so far.
Can anyone give an explanation or idea for further research?
