Monitor the most important books on the philosophy of religion in contemporary thought, you can suggest me to the most important books written on this subject in Islamic thought and Western thought.
Anything by Graham Oppy in this area is worth reading. Some of his books and articles are listed on his RG research page. This one might be good to start with:
مدخل إلى فلسفة الدين (عثمان الخشت) - مدخل جديد إلى فلسفة الدين (مصطفى النشار) - فلسفة الدين "مقول المقدس بين الايديولوجيا واليوتوبيا وسؤال التعددية"(مجموعة مؤلفين باشراف علي عبود المحمداوي)
- philosophy of religion (william rowe) - and the most important for me is The End of philosophy of religion( nick trakakis )
Sorry, I had technical problem and added and deleted the message as it showed me to be posted twice.
I suggested the book 'Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam' by Muhammad Iqbal. There are many editions and perhaps search for the latest. It may be an old book but its very welcome in Indian sub-continent even today and may be good to understand the Islamic thought there and its philosophy of religion.
Reading 'The Philosophy of Religion in Post-Revolutionary Iran: The Epistemological Turn in Islamic Reform Discourse' by Heydar Shadi is a good read for reference to Iran but of course there are other books that may give a better historical background. Perhaps some books by Syed Hossein Nasr would help.
I remembered this one book of Syed Hossein Nasr 'Islamic Philosophy from Its Origin to the Present: Philosophy in the Land of Prophecy' that is great to read on philosophy that gives a great background since earlier times until today what helps understand contemporary other contributions that you may find in better fashion.
