I am trying to gather striped hyena mortality data from across India. So If you have came across or know about mortality of striped hyena, Kindly share the information with me. Striped hyena is data deficient and data on hyena mortality is very limited. I just need the year, location and cause of the mortality. Thanks in advance.

I have seen two striped hyena carcasses outside Ranthambhore and one just in the periphery of Ranthambhore. I don't have the exact gps location of these incidents but I can locate them in Google earth at least the approx place. If it is of any help please let me know I will share the info with you.

Why don't you create an online survey form & mail/circulate among the researchers, vets & wildlife managers whom you know? This probably makes the data uniform & easy to analyze. Moreover, many people may not be comfortable sharing GPS, mortality information etc. in an open forum. Just a suggestion !!
Also try contacting Arumugam (Biologist, Anamalai Tiger Reserve) for hyena info from Mudumalai-Bandipur region
