Satellite retrieved PM2.5 is function of AOD and PBLH and other meteorological parameters. AOD retrieval from satellite involves some assumptions on surface albedo, Aerosol scattering parameters and radiative transfer calculations. So in retrieval of AOD , PBLH is maynot be useful but for , understanding what is contributing to observed AOD it's useful.
