Hello, power electronics specialists,
In a business case, we meet this requirement, a client needs to make use of standard On-shelf VSI in modular size to operate in parallel to feed a single varying load.
VSIs are basically motor drives! However, each VSI will be housed in a cabinet where a dedicated rectifier from a dedicated input transformer and the VSI output will be sent to the load bus via an output transformer as shown in the freehand sketch attached with this discussion
An external supervisory controller is to take care of the activation of each incoming VS module or deactivation of the outgoing VSI module according to the varying load requirements and it will also decide the load sharing between VSIs according to a certain strategy. All VSI units will be fed from a common External AC Transformer with sufficient KVA capacity.
Any ideas, links, relevant literature, or hands-on experience advice in this regard?
