I've got old PAR galvanostat which doesn't have a function of chronopotentiometry, just normal galvanostatic mode without control over final potential. Therefore, I cannot perform galvanostatic charging/discharging of supercapacitors that I currently work with, means switch the voltage eg. between 0 and 0.8 V and 0.8-0V in the reverse step..... I've got USB card from National Instruments with Lab View software but it is not enough. Still, I can't control the final potential (voltage). Is there any solution for my problem? Some new control card/software?
If you have choose chronocoulometry method this is one of the charging/discharging process. You have applied 0 to 0.8 V first step is charging 0.8 V reverse step is discharging 0.8 to 0 V two steps
Just build the function in a labview program. Read the potential, and as soon as it reaches the right potential, you change the charging current.
