I am interested to do research for my study purpose on Ownership Structure.
But where I can find the CEO ownership or managerial ownership percentage/amount?
I went through annual reports, but it's not directly mentioned.
how to calculate these?
I had a couple of research papers published in this regard as part of corporate governance; you may want to check them out.
Well, it varies from company to company and country to country as prescribed by their respective regulatory bodies.
In some annual reports, a "Pattern of Shareholdings" is given where the distribution of shares is presented based on blockholders, CEOs, institutions, managers, executives, etc. For the calculation of these stocks, you need to find out their percentage, i.e., dividing managers' shares by total outstanding shares. The total outstanding shares are also provided by the companies.
This is how you need to calculate the percentage for each variable and prepare a final dataset.
