Dear Mates,
I would like to write a Macro in Abaqus to open some ODBs and take screen shot, and save as a PNG with the same name.
I already know how to write part of it. However, I dont know how it can ask every time for the file and save the image with the same name as ODB file and close it.
Is this possible ?

Of course it is possible. First you need to open the Odb you want to print to a file PNG with this script:
o3 = session.openOdb(name='C:/Temp/yourOdb.odb')
odb = session.odbs['C:/Temp/yourOdb.odb']
session.viewports['Viewport: 1'].setValues(displayedObject=o3)
After this Abaqus opens your Odb. then you need to print it to a PNG file with this script
session.printToFile(fileName='C:/Users/Samsung-pc/Desktop/yourfile', format=PNG,
canvasObjects=(session.viewports['Viewport: 1'], ))
Do not forget to change the path

you can use a "while" loop in the script that I've suggested. But mind that the file names of your ODBs must follow a structure. So you can define a loop in which you can open ODBs as many as you wish and then print them to PNG file. Look at this script bellow:
