1. Do not expect a medical solution to Covid, as a treatment or vaccine, until February 2021.
2. We have not yet seen even the beginning of the infection toll.
With that perspective, the current Covid problem is long-term and will be with us in the environment for a long time, even when it is treatable. It has no reason to follow the US election calendar. Favorable mutations may change this picture.

All: Today, Santa Clara county and the city of Mountain View closed many businesses that it had opened just on last Monday, frustrating owners, employees, investors, and customers. Big problem, even city traffic is affected.

I agree with Dr. Faucia. The worst is yet to come. We have only seen 1% and at best 10% of the damage. Noone learns from history and 1918 is repeating itself now. Phase One death curve from 1918 and 2020; everyone isolates and the curve drops, people think the pandemic is over so they come back out and go wild. Phase Two death curve 1918 and 2020 (so far) hits many times worse than the first Phase. Now the people hide again(isolation) until they get tired and go out and start Phase Three. Check the 1918 death curves, so far in 2020 we are following them almost exactly. Don't let the politicians lead you astray, and yes follow the scientists, like Dr. Fauci, he knows this history too. The virus is causing many more unseen complications than you can imagine (reading the medical literature for hours a day). So far, no "cure," but hopefully a good vaccine ?soon. In the meantime stay safe, I dare-say that herd-immunity is not the answer with this virus.
GJO and MN: No one learns from history. Politicians routinely manipulate history. History is very malleable. Data has limits, context. The 1918 flu actually originated in Kansas. Being prepared for the long-term is also more prudent. Higher education will change, and one has to use AI. RG uses AI, through our own minds in the interfacing.
If you are in New Zealand, maybe China and many island countries, then you can talk about a possible end as long as you don't let others come in.
MI: I understand your argument for isolation as a solution. However, no one can be happy alone. In the same way, diversity has been important to many island countries. Discussions such as this one, are however, temporarily suspended in RG, due to RG software problems and rampant hacking. One does not have to endure it. We can continue by PM.
I can't get over how many "experts" are making unfounded statements that barely qualify as wild speculation, just to avoid saying, "I don't know." The presumptions seem endless. For example, there is no guarantee that either a "cure" or a "vaccine" can ever be developed for any one particular threat. We've been successful with some but not others. Consider how much effort and funds have been devoted to finding a cure for HIV. There is no shortage of motivation, yet we haven't found the "silver bullet". Not only may we never find the key to COVID-19, it may become COVID-19a or COVID-19b before we do. We must not hang all of our hopes on this one plan. We need Plan B and C and D...

O estudo do neurocientista Miguel Nocolelis aponta que pessoas que já tiveram dengue podem ter imunidade contra a covid-19.
Os cientisas já haviam encontrado um ponto em comum em análises sorológicas entre a dengue e o novo coronavírus. Uma mesma proteína compartilhada pela covid-19 e a dengue possuem mesma causa e efeito.
"Com o estudo israelense nós temos um indício. Eles mostraram em 99 pacientes que tiveram dengue no ano passado, que 22 tiveram anticorpos do novo coronavírus", afirmou o neurocientista Miguel Nicolelis, que dá continuidade ao estudo analisando regiões do Brasil e do mundo.
Segundo o cientista, onde teve muitos casos de dengue nos últimos meses, a incidência de coronavírus foi menor, com menos casos e mortes. No Brasil, a dengue voltou a crescer em 2019, com mais de 1,5 milhão de casos.
