Looking at this journey that is life after death, it is a philosophical journey that many disciplines try to explain or give meaning to humankind. One of the disciplines that champions this discussion is religion. Religion is a discipline that tries to shape or design how people should live. Moreover, one effective way that religion employs to shape the life of an individual is the concept of the afterlife. Religious people make it clear that before one can attain heaven, they must live a good and pleasant life. This means not doing anything that will harm their neighbor, other living things, or even themselves. To derive meaning and understanding from this issue of the afterlife, many people explore different perspectives and beliefs. They explore avenues like religious tradition. Various religious traditions give dissimilar hermeneutics of the afterlife, ranging from reincarnation to heaven (for those living a good life, salvation) and hell (for the evil ones, condemnation). Others also say there is no afterlife; heaven (salvation) or hell (condemnation) should be experienced here and now. There is no life after death. While others say there is no afterlife and salvation, besides salvation means being enlightened.
