My institution (a public university in Turkey) is planning to buy qualitative data analyzing software for academicians. We are between Nvivo and Maxqda.
Can you guys give me some advice on which one to pick?
I think both programs are equally good, but NVivo has better marketing. One strength of MAXQDA is that they have new publishing section which has free, books on various topics about to use the program.
I agree that both are good QDA Software. As a preference, and out of personal experience, I recommend MAXQDA since I have found it capable and easy to use. Besides, you could utilize it for mixed methods. You might go through the following for further insights.
