This is the inquiry, that all of us have to question before we design a nanomaterial, I think the effects would be big, because the use of this nanomaterials are increasing very rapidly, and until now I didn´t Know any legislation or prohibition about their use.
So the ideal is that, at the time we are synthesizing new materials, we are doing toxicological assays.
I am doing that, because I think is part of our research and part of our responsability, what happened next to the environment.
If biodegradable i think no harm. The fear is from leaking genes with gene therapy where different antibiotic resistant gene are used... Personal opinion
