The discoloration of Rhodamine B by electro-generated chlorine at Pt electrode in presence of KCl, follows zero order. So I want to know if this order corresponds to the order of the formation of chlorine at Pt electrode or corresponds to the order of the discoloration of Rhd B? No discoloration in absence of KCl (strong electrolyte used sulfate or nitrate). The discoloration of Rhodamine B by a fresh saturated solution with Cl2 is very fast, so I think it is the order of the electro-generation of Cl2, am I right?
