Every so often, someone presents work that is derivative of mine (e.g., Lightspeed Expanding Hyperspherical Universe or LEHU).
That particular hypothesis or postulate is impossible to defend. Richard Feynman proposed the hyperspherical topology in a lecture, but he couldn't defend it because of the problems it creates.
My theory - The Hypergeometrical Universe Theory (HU) solves those problems.
It emboldened many copycats who believed they could jump in the wagon and take part in the HU's model (for example, LEHU) and run.
By the way, I should clarify that LEHU is part of HU's model, not because I was the first to propose it, but because I am the only one who can defend it.
That creates flawed models where the flaws are obvious.
Here, I present a critique of one of these models. Feel free to disagree or agree in the comments.

I don't have hard feelings for the hordes of people who are out there trying their best to come up with a solution to the toughest problems in Physics.
I understand what they aim at and what they are doing.
My free peer review is something I would love to receive if I were wrong.
It is a waste of time to spend your life working on a bad idea.
Life is short and there is a lot of things to do before dying...
On the other hand, I have to rebut some of these ideas because they are wrong...:)
There is an infuriating aspect of the effort. The infuriating aspect has to do with what we as humans should be doing to help Mankind.
We should be working to help Mankind if we have a good idea that helps Mankind. If we knowingly push to the forefront a bad model, then we are wilfully damaging Mankind's future.
That is tough for me to understand.
John Hobson is a better writer than I am...:) Since his work is superficial, it is easier to be engaging and to give the reader the impression he is understanding something.
I am at a loss. I cannot win that kind of competition. That is why I appealed to his Ethics, and it didn't work, so I published my criticism.

I think the principle led thinking that you are guided by is not a commonality, hence why you fund it incredulous people are not guided by it as a North Star.
I may be a synic, but I am of the view this fellow is not really guided by anything except perhaps a way to short cut the path to recognition and have something to bolster his Dinner conversation. This might be harsh, but publishing or posting a true derivative work is not curiosity led, nor is it promoting some incremental wisdom, unless the author is upfront regarding source and intention.
I think you are spot on about the damaging affects promoting wrong idea, and in my opinion it is far more dangerous then people think.
Have a look at the utter nonsense spew out on YouTube by Flat Earthers, have you seen this stuff?
It's is both amusing and would make your blood boil.
Im amazed at how confident they talk about it, how much they have not even a basic idea of the fundamentals... yet they threw out big words out of context, lash out ad hominem style at at anyone who tries to rebute with actual science, which is enough for some people to be convinced.
Isaac Asimov summed it up beautifully, I cannot remember the quote verbatim, but it goes something like:
"there has been a trend weaving through our society last few years, whereby my ignorance is as good as your knowledge "
