In general practice, it is recommended to use form work for casting of column. In domestic construction, some times people are doing such practice to save the cost of form work. There are some study available in literature. The effect of Monolitic construction of brick masonary and concrete simultaneously gives vary vast difference from to case to case. Brick masonary already set may take some of the forces, but it is difficult to calculate. If steel connection between this two, composite effect can be studied.
