Is the inhibition achieved by repression of VEGF and/or other pro-angiogenic cytokines at levels of transcription or translation ?  The TSG we are working on, BLU, mapped on 3p21 region, inhibits angiogenesis by reducing VEGF expression.  We have shown that it blocked progression of cell cycle through engagment of MAKP pathways; we have been published in JNK-cyclin D1 axis, and an MS on ERK is under preparation.
