I am working with a visco-elastic thixotropic gel. I need to model the gel behavior so as to predict the pressure drops while working with it at the manufacturing site.
I have a few questions:
1. Which is the best model i can use to model the gel and get the appropriate n,K values.
Right now Im used power law model.
2. We have done some complex viscosity measurements on the gel and have got the G' and G'' values at various strain rates - the ratio changes as a function of angular frequency.
How can I use this data to predict the dynamic viscosity? (is the relation D. V = G''/omega valid?)

I would try to assess the shear rate (range) in your processing equipment. I would also suggest a rotational viscosity vs. shear rate test of your gel (as broad as your instrument would allow). It is then fairly trivial to assess if the power law model is applicable.
Depending on the gel strength and structural heterogeneity of your material, fracture or shear banding may also play a role in your processing flows. Without further knowledge on the type of material microstructure, I would not recommend to predict large-strain flow behavior from small-strain oscillatory data. Such relations exist, but are only demonstrated to be reliable for specific classes of materials.
