I was just wondering that as a mixer adds and subtracts the input frequencies, what happends if both the inputs (RF and Local Oscillator) have a phase in them as well. How would the mixer respond to signal phase?
Also, what happens if RF signal has an added phase and LO is a continuous signal with no added phase. When happens at the output of mixer?

The mixer multiplies the input signals. If you use the equation for 2*sine(angle1)*sine(angle2)= cos(angle1-angle2)-cos(angle1+angle2) you will be able to see or calculate what changing the angle of one of them does to the output. The angles are 2*pi*f1*t + phase1 and 2*pi*f2*t + phase2
