I was trying to simulate the below microstrip antenna(image attached).
Please let me know few points.
1. What type of feed the antenna consists of ?(In the reference paper it is mentioned as containing a 50 Ohm micro strip line feed on the ground plane ? ( As shown in the diagram with a dotted line).Any reference on that Will be welcome.
2.How to simulate a dual feed structure ?

1. I would add a waveguide port (CST MWS jargon) on the two microstrip lines that feed the antenna.
2. You will probably in the first simulations consider twAdd your answero situations (a) switches ON and (b) Switches off. By switches ON you just plain draw a piece of metal connecting both strips; by switch off you might add some lumped element (resistor) with large resistance (500 K) and see the results.
Later you might add to the simulation the coaxial connectors as well as a better representation for the switches. They will have some RLC model for both the ON and OFF states, which you will add into your model.
Each of the two lines coming up from the bottom of the reverse side of the board is, together with the back of the ground plane and the dielectric layer, a 50 ohm microstrip feed. They each continue to an open circuit an 1/4 wavelength (roughly) past the slot that they couple to, each presumably at a different frequency, so different length for quarter wavelength. Can also be 3/4, 5/4 etc. but will be narrower bandwidth.
Depending on your code you simulate two feeds in different ways. In CST you can continue the tracks downwards to the edge of the ground plane, separating them more than they are in the diagrams by introducing bends, and put a waveguide port on each of them. You might want to make the ground plane bigger. They will work at different frequencies, but each port will be terminated in 50 ohms (or whatever its impedance really is) for the simulation from the other port. I think CST demands that waveguide ports be lined perpendicular to one of the principal axes.
