How to add a finite ground in momentum ? I am trying to simulate the following antenna structure in Agilents ADS momentum.
I am able to draw patch pattern in cond layer
and also the finite ground plane in cond2 layer (See Diagram below)
Please suggest on how to
1. Add ground referenced ports ?(I have tried defining substrate definitions as AIR-SUBSTRATE(strip-cond)--Substrate(cond2-sond2)--AIR
2. How to simulate the Varactor and RF choke in ADS momentum ?
You can simulate Varactor and RF choke using EM-Cosimulation feature in ADS schematic.

- But how to design a truncated ground plane in ADS momentum software (Planar simulator)?Any reference on that will be helpful. Especially adding a port (which type ? snap edge /snap point )and its reference to ground I am unable to do comprehend.

I used Momentum for simulating defected ground structures. My limited experience in designing truncated ground plane was not good. I received accurate results by defining bottom layer as slot plane and designing my defected ground structures. If you are dealing with DGS as well then I suggest using this definition. Otherwise, define your bottom layer as a cover plane. Hope this helps.

Can you please clarify which among the gray and white is the ground plane? And where do you want to add the port.
In the substrate figure that you have attached the ground layer is a strip plane not a slot plane. In my case I assigned port to the edge center of the microstrip line on top side (defined as a strip plane).
