I want to count 108 CFU/ml by knowing OD (Optical density) value of Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis I2 or Lactococcus lactis and Streptococcus iniae. If anyone can inform me the OD value of 108 CFU/ml of these two bacteria with a reference will be very helpful for me. Thank you in advance.

As the relation between OD and cell concentration is dependent on the spec you use as well as on the cell you are working with, you have to run the experiments yourself (read OD for actively growing cells and plate dilutions for efficient counting). As a comparison, a rough estimate for E. coli is 109 cfu /mL /OD600nm unit.

I think this case was refer to your experience on this field…you can detect the cell/ml for each strain and compared with each its accounts as CFU/ml at the same time. When you get the a account you need you can depended it. This process may be get roughly account assay.
For this microorganism the OD value (0.800 to 0.900) obtained at 600nm would give an approximate measure for 108 CFU/ml.
However, you must check for the strain you are working with. You can adjust the cell density by diluting with 0.85% NaCl to a desired OD value (say 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.1....). Spread plate these dilutions, count and then conclude yourself.

Thank you very much Mr. Dubey......But OD value 0.80 to 0.90 for L. lactis bacteria?? Or for S. iniae bacteria???? I think you have working experince on microbiology. If you have time plz in answer specify for these two bacteria.....or having any document on it please share it for me. I will check those two by plate count and OD value measurement .
