Dear all,
While writing the research proposal, shall the methodology section explain exactly what you are plannning to do in your research in detailed manner?
for example:
i am proposing that i will create a new operating system that has XYZ new features.
Now at the time of writing the proposal, i know that there is an opensource OS like linux that may allow me to edit it to add the feature and i know that its feasible to create new basic and very simple operating system. but how to create the one that i am proposing stil yet not known at the time of my proposal writing.
So, is that fine for proposal writing stage? And whats your opinion for having best methodology section in the research proposal.
It is unlikely that you will get funding for something that you don't know how to do. Almost all research proposal are based on good ideas, but the ones that get funding are the ones that are most likely to succeed in implementing those idea.
Methodology is the most important part of research propsal and it should includes full details on how the study will be conducted to convince supervisors/funding organizations that the study is doable.
