Pore size from 2 to 50 nm corresponds to the definition of mesoporous materials, but the surface area you mention can never be reached with a purely mesoporous material. Such high value is indeed the maximum you may expect with purely microporous carbons (pore size lower than 2nm). Wider pores lead to lower surface area, so the value you want to reach is non physical for a porous carbon.

As a consequence, the question about cost has no answer.

The stupid question was asked to see if somebody else than us obtained such material on this planet. Second objective was to see if it had any use and third one if it could be given a price per ton.

I perfectly understand your points, but:

How would you call the material we obtained then? It is mesoporous from a pore size point of view and microporous from a specific surface's one.

Shall it be misoporous or mecroporous carbon ;-) ?

We thought it would have a possible added value in super capacitors, as an example.

Mesoporous  materials with   pore size (2 nm < pore size < 50 nm)  have a great potential applications in  catalyst , controlled drug delivery , gas adsorption and  energy storage.  The large surface area you mentioned is not feasible because such large surface area need smaller pore size.

 I have no answer about the  price. 

check AX-21 (Anderson Development Corp.) with 2790 m2 per g, but  mean pore size of 1.5 nm. it cannot be larger for 3000 m2...

By definition, it is a mesoporous but, that much high surface area is possible by presence of micropores. There is a possibility that in your  samples, the mesopores are connected to micropores.
