I'm analysing flow over NACA 0018 wing.
1)I have three volumes :- Outer Domain , Domain of influence and Wing. I have attached the image of the geometry.
I split the domain of influence from the outer domain and subtracted the wing from the Domain of influence.
When I do so GAMBIT struggles to give a volume mesh. GAMBIT stops working at 96%. Roughly total number of elements in the setup will be around 5 lakhs only.
2) When i subtract both the volumes. The domain of influence is detected as a wall in fluent.
I only want my wing boundary to be named as wall !
What could be the possible solution ?
How is the skewness? I suspect the problem occurs at the structure-unstructured interface.
For question 2:
You may want to change the boundary type from wall to interior, not the name of boundary.
For question 1:
Defining the mesh on the edges, then faces and last volumes can release the work of Gambit, and it may work better with your help .

dear Lianxia Li. I meshed the geometry starting from edge-face-volume. when the domain of influence is changed to type interior then the wing inside also becomes a part of the interior and is not detected as a wing.
