HI, I just accomplished the exact same task. First, log into the account that you want to keep - in this case, the one with your professional email. Next, search for your older account and look for the three dots to the right of the follow button. Select "report a duplicate profile" and follow the steps to approve the request. Within a few days, you should find your old stats merged with your new account. Hope that helps.
