Mereology, taxonomy, and categorical relations

mereology = meronomy = meronymy

This, if one listens to the biologists and the computer scientists, seems to be received wisdom. For my money, it's a misevaluation of the ontological scope of mereology - or rather, it presuppose that our ontologies are conceptual.
