Dear sir, the expression you are asking for are just names for the facts shown in the proof:
1. If the initial point (IRS) is on the manifold (here a plane I+R+S=b/d), then it stays there for ever.
2. If the initial point (IRS) is NOT on the manifold I+R+S=b/d, and if it is in the first octant (all coordinates positive), then the point at every time t>0 lies on another plane, which is the closer to the stable one the later the instant t .
