Is this technology ready for clinical mutation testing in FFPET? Advantages/disadvantages over other technologies? Are IVD-assays available?

The intention to implement such an instrument for mutation testing lasted only short at my institute. Now they try to build up NGS. Maybe I have a look for my personal interest.

Bruker has an FDA approval of the use of MALDI Biotyper CA for the indentation of Gram negative bacterial colonies cultured from human specimens.
That si by my knowledge the only clinical application of MALDI so far.
