We've looked at PerkinElmer, Beckmann Coulter, Eppendorf, Hamilton, and Tecan and have narrowed it to Hamilton and Tecan. We are leaning towards Hamilton because their 96 head can pipette 1-1000uL while the Tecan 96 head can only do 1-200uL. Haven't found much as far as reviews for the systems. Any advice if you've used these systems would be greatly appreciated.

Tecan Freedom EVO series can handle syringe sizes from 50 to 5000uL and tips from 10 to 5000uL. Hamilton Microlab STAR line seems to have better accuracy though.
In our lab we use the Hamilton Microlab STAR to handle liquid for PCR reaction plates (mastermix and DNA). We like it very much. The results are precise and accurate.
I'd say there are pros and cons to each option. Tecan systems are modular, so you can get one on-site much more quickly. Hamilton's are built essentially from scratch for you so you have more control over options, but there is a long lead time for delivery (6+months?). Tecan systems are easier to program, but the programming support form the manufacturer is worse (this may vary by region, I'm in the Northeast US). Which is best may depend on your application, I'm sure there are other differences as well, I have primarily worked with Tecan myself.
