I would recommend Comprehensive Psychiatry since they have decent stats but not so high as to get snooty, and publish the kind of material you and I are interested in.

The open access journal in psychiatry with the highest impact factor (20.2) is World Psychiatry (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1002/(ISSN)2051-5545), which is the official journal of the World Psychiatric Association. Another good open access journal is the Journal of Psychiatry & Neuroscience (jpn.ca) with an impact factor of 5.86.

You’re doing the right thing, since all the psychiatric journals are open, they require a fee for publication from the authors. Science cannot be turned into business .

Unfortunately, almost all psychiatric and psychological journals are paid. I know the following are free of charge in the American Journal of Psychiatry and Neuroscience.
