Although it provide useful machine understandability but how to understand actual context from user prospective is still a problem? isn't it provide more information orienting rather than information adoption. Information filtering, information re-use and context based task information gathering?
I would suggest that Linked Data is only the means and not the goal. Linked knowledge via an explicit set of ontologies is what can make Linked Data useful to humans. Without an ontology to understand linked data, the data remains opaque.
Its ok that it means not goal... But human can understand data using hyperlinks but... Problems like information overload is caused by today web system...i think we going more towards machine understandablity i am curious about link data is more for machine and why we are teaching machine a whole worlds data but demand it to serve individual users....
I believe that information today if we consider the amount per individual it exceeds for almost 100 times the information per individual that 100 years ago people have access to. In that context establishing a Linking Data for individuals learnign could be a better form to understand and access the relevant information for the goals of the individual or for what he would be looking for.
Consider also that a constructivism learning where the individual select and combine the knowledge he has access to is a really good way to learn and to create a different block of knowledge. Lets see the knowledge as blocks of information where depends on the context it could represent different things, so if person have access to a more understandable linked data it could represent a better way to understand the knowledge and for the indivual to learn new knowledge.
Other important thing to consider, is that we should let the individuals to learn what they are interested in so they should be able to look for the paths of the linked knowledge they want. In these days knowledge seems so bast for individuals to try to learn everything and linking data could stablish a more formal way to understand the meanings of each code of knowledge.
