The lineweaver-Burk plot is primarily used to identify parameters such as the value for Km and Vmax. My compound B identified a decrease Km and decreased Vmax. Therefore this knowledge would identify compound B from model data as an uncompetitive inhibitor according to the research. The issue here is uncompetitive lineweaver-Burk plot would have lines parallel which mine do not. In this situation, you can imagine I do not want my answer to be wrong but at the same time there is some contradicting factors being displayed. what could I say it is as I am going out my mind...
I would say that you do not have sufficient data to interpret these results. You need more data points spread out over a wider range of concentrations.
The L-B plot can be difficult to interpret because it is extremely sensitive to experimental variation. The lowest substrate concentration, which has the smallest signal and therefore the largest error, typically, also has the largest effect on the slope because it has the highest value as a reciprocal.
To properly use the L-B plot, it is best to use substrate concentrations that are evenly spaced as reciprocals, with multiple replicates, covering a wide range of values.
Ideally, you would not use the L-B plot at all. A better strategy is to use the original values (not the reciprocals) and a global nonlinear regression with all the data at once on each version of the Michaelis-Menten equation (that is, for each type of inhibitor), to see which gives the best fit. You need more data points for this method, too.
