With the start of the current pandemic, conferences started to get cancelled or postponed. But luckily, there is another trend emerging, a really exciting one: Online conferences.

The reason(s) I am so excited about this? First and foremost, it is the right thing to do, facing the climate crisis. Second, it is efficient. You don't spend lots of time and money to be on the road, in hotels, and so on- you can just incorporate the relevant sessions into your regular day. You can send different colleagues to different sessions suitable, because these format is often also free.

I really do hope that this format will stay. Here are two free online-conferences of my list:

The Media&Learning is about video in higher education: https://online.media-and-learning.eu/

This Swiss-Event is in German language and discusses recent trends and problems regarding diversity and gender mainstreaming: https://www.bfh.ch/de/aktuell/veranstaltungen/diversitytagung2020/

Which are the ones, you would recommend? Do you mind sharing the links and a short introduction as a comment?
