Kindly, Who has a code for shooting method to solve fourth order boundary value problem? I need this code specially written by mathematica, matlab, visual basic for applications. The problem has the form:
d2/dx2(y''(x)+f(x))=0. x belongs to [a,b]
with both Dirichlet and Neumann conditions, i. e.
y(a) = c1, y(b) = c2,
y'(a) = c3, y'(b) = c4,
Other low-error numerical methods are also needed.

If you want low error you should avoid solving the problem in 4th order form. You should also avoid shooting, as this is sensitive to perturbations. Best option is to use finite difference or finite element methods that recognize that the 4th order "biharmonic equation" is

u" = M
(where material and geometry coefficients have been omitted). This is far less sensitive to perturbations, and much more likely to offer a reliable result.
