I want to detect and isolate Listeria monocytogenes from blood samples of animals, for that I have been looking for selective media and I came across various sets of selective media used with pre-enrichment and enrichment steps. These media include, Buffered listeria enrichment broth (BLEB), university of Vermont medium 1 and 2 (UVM), PALCAM agar, Dominguez-Rodriguez isolation agar (DRIA), followed by sub culturing by using tryptone soy agar with yeast extract or in BHI.
Kindly suggest which media either out of those mentioned above or any other would be suitable for effective isolation and further sub culturing of the Listeria monocytogenes
your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
