Dear fellow biologists

I´m wondering if you have had this kind of experience with a major publishing house, and what you think.

I submitted a paper to the Journal of Zoological Systematics and Evolutionary Research (Wiley) on December 16 2024, and nearly 3 months later, yesterday, I got a notice that the paper had been ´withdrawn´ because none of the members of the editorial board of the journal ´have agreed to handle the peer review process´!

I honestly didn´t think this was even an option.. is it the journal, Wiley, or is this something that seems acceptable?
