In my work I would like to assess relation between soil type and distribution of heavy metals or their ''fractions''. Do you know any articles or work in that field of intrest? I will be grateful for any suggestions.
Geological and pedogenic processes (clay migration, gley formation, …, podzolization) are necessary and vital to maintain soil quality and consequently environment sustainability. It can significantly affect heavy metals accumulation and distribution in soils by changing the quality and the quantity of many factors such as lessivage, carbonation, oxidation,…, reduction. Indeed, the distributions of total heavy metal amounts are determined mostly by the parent material, which may be modified by eventual anthropogenic effects, while the partition of heavy metals among the soil components is mostly regulated by the pedogenic effects. During the pedogenesis heavy metals are mobilized in soils and they redistribute among soil components.
I am please to send this paper about pedogenic processes role on nickel distribution. I hope that can be helpful.
