During studying different articles & thesis on DA of Language abilities & specially Word Learning, I found most of them were done on school-age children, of course some of them were done on people communicating at prelinguistic level, but I have a question that is it possible theoretically to do a DA of language abilities (word learning) at toddlers? Before some researchers had done on DA of Word Learning in school-age but not toddlers.

Dynamic Assessment methods to look at word learning in toddlers and pre-schoolers are absolutely possible. Indeed, the whole idea of dynamic assessment is based upon work in early language learners by Vygotsky and some of his colleagues (in actuality or in spirit). There are plenty of studies looking at this. the work of Carol Lidz out of Temple University (lots in the 1980s) are the best examples I know. Lidz and Liz Pena at University of Texas -Austin and Barbara Bain and colleagues have done some excellent work in this area. I have attached a few of their papers as demos.
