Can the radiation of the invasive cervix carcinoma raise the mutagenic potential of HPV? The mutagenic potential of HPV expresses the influence of the cellular replication machinery and the error rate associated due to viral proteins. In this sense, the virus is a mutagen ?

The palliative benefits of radiation in this case is indisputable (reduction of the tumor mass). But can the irradiation of virus-associated tumors also be curative? Must not then be the elimination of the virus the true endpoint?
