Hi all,

We have a technology where we can measure very low CFU/ml (1-5). To see if we can help patients with blood bacterial infections we wish to test the system on blood. My question - as bacterial concentrations are very low in blood we will probably need to isolate bacteria from 50-100ml blood. Is it possible to spin a blood sample and collect the supernatant with bacteria in it? Or will bacteria be spun down with blood cells?
