Sorry to hear that - when this happens, by right the journal editor should help forward your reviewed manuscripts to other journals (that s/he has contact with) for publications. Think moving forward, you have to resubmit your reviewed version of manuscript to other journals for review & publication - hopefully this will take less time since it has been reviewed already.
I don't think it is fair. I just cannot imagine how you feel right now after waiting for two years to get publishing your manuscript over with, and bam!!! this is information is posted on the website. I can see the website belongs to the University of Pittsburgh, I will suggest the following:
1. Mine the email addresses of the editors and international editors and send them mails requesting they publish articles that were accepted before they closed shop.
2. I hope more experienced researchers respond to your question. Suggestions from them can also help.
it is very sad to hear that from an author's point of view. such an unresponsible response from the journal is not acceptable. even though I am not sure what should be done in the exact sense, I would like to suggest you contact few of the editors on the list and put your problem. maybe they will guide you better.

You should have sent reminders to the journal for knowing the status of your manuscript during this long period.
You should not consider new 'Open Access' journals for your publication because they do not have stringent review system, and the editorial members of divergent fields (may not have experience on your topic) complete the review process generally. Such journals are simply running good business. Low-skilled researchers opt to consider such journals because they get publication easily and quickly by paying the article processing charge, which otherwise are not considered by journals of high impact factors. One can always improve the research and writing skill, and publish in journals of high standard, and such publications get cited, again by reputed researchers.
