Dear Amitava, don't get disappointed. It happens with the researchers. It is good the news came before your publication. If the same happened after publication then the trouble would have been more. Please submit in some other journal for publication, I am sure it will be accepted.
One suggestion, please don't wait for more than 4 months. if it happens, retract the paper and submit elsewhere.

This is unfortunate but stuff happens, as they say. I looked the journal up and to me it looks like one of these heroic attempts by researchers to get an open-access journal going without much support. These may die of lack of submissions or because sustaining them was too much work in the end, or for a variety of other reasons.
Two more specific points:
1) They did not publish anything in 2016, which is a clear warning sign. If a journal accepts something for publication in June and it is not published by the end of the same year without informing you, something is seriously wrong, and you are inyour rights to pester them with questions every week. If the editors did not respond at all since June 2017, this was highly unprofessional behaviour (neither fair nor ethical). My guess is that they did this to all people who had submitted.
2) I advise you to be very careful in your selection of journals. I suggest choosing only journals you read yourself because this makes sure you address your community. Once you selected a journal, you should check a few issues and the editorial board to know what you are dealing with.
This is sad, but something went wrong and out of control. You can consider restructuring the paper for re-submission. I believe your paper will be accepted and published soon by another suitable job if well adjusted, taking into account the time wasted and submission guidelines from the new journal. All the best
I am sorry to hear that! I am sure that you will find even a better journal for your publication. Never give up and keep it up. Do not let anyone turn you down!

Other journals are an option, but the thing is that in the concerned journal in the author portal it shows the status'active' 'in editing' . I have sent emails to the editor and the administrators with the publisher asking if I can submit to another journal but no one replies? Guess we poor fellows from poor nations will digest anything and any types of behavior the rich west throws at us. The link to the journal is given below.
