I am looking for people dealing with ferrofluids and could provide information how they measure thermal conductivity.
there are two method to find thermal conductivity one hot wire method and another is hot disk method.
You can purchas KD2 pro thermal property analyser to measure thermal conductivity of ferrofluids.

Prof. R. V. Upadhyay, Prof. R. V. Mehta and Dr. K. H. Parekh (first and last at CHARUSAT, Inidia) had dealt with these matter in optical region so may have some view about thermal property. I know only about thermal absorption of fluid
