Hi Alain et al,

I think Farooq, answered your question and made the distinction between the process development of clinical practice guidelines.  I do want to raise an issue I experienced for your to consider.  I had the opportunity to work with Canadian Clinical Practice Guideline developers and end users (hospitals, nurses, physicians) and found a major gap in the guidelines and operationally defining what that actually looks like in practice.  Without paying attention to articulate what it actually "looks like" adds to the problem guidelines being left to interpretation and sometime it works out well for for the consumer (patient, client, etc,) and sometimes it does not.  If this is an additional area of interest, I would be happy to share more [email protected]
