I looking for material, paper and equation that explains a frequency response of the non-magnetic metal (Alum, Copper, BeCu, Stainless Steel, etc) that exposed to a magnetic field (ie inductive signal) between TX coil and RX coil (or AMR sensor) with metal in between (of different thickness). I observed a change in frequency response between 10mm, 20mm and 30mm thick. I familiar this is related to eddy current.
I expect this is a skin depth effect - look up the skin depth of the materials you are using at the frequency of operation - I expect it might be a few cm. Alternating fields fall off exponentially depending on the skin depth in metals - electric and magnetic fields, even for non-magnetic materials.

Will lamination of say 10 sheets of total several cm thick reduces the skin depth (for non-magnetic metal), accounting for facts the sheets will be electrically shorted between them and insulated (ie Kapton-tape) between sheet. Has anyone done this work?

Thank, nice paper to read, I do transformer design and winding. It interesting it noted 3 times higher resistance in litz than the solid wire at high frequency!
