I have a query regarding data collected from CORDEX models and CMIP5 models. After reading about both, I have concluded that data from CMIP5 have to statistical downscale first then can apply for our study while CORDEX data is already Dynamically Downscaled for our region. So we can bias correct them (COREDEX data) and make direct use of them to our research. Am I correct? If yes, please suggest the best models of CORDEX for Indian scenario those can be directly applied for my study region.
Basically, the resolution of CORDEX outputs is fine enough to apply directly in many research fields as it is normally around 50km*50km. However, the use of the data highly depends on the purposes and requirements of the study. So, in my opinion, it is better if you could check your study requirements and the resolutions of CORDEX output before using it. And also, it is hard to define which model is the best one, especially in climate change projection, where the uncertainty should be always considered carefully. It also depends on what variable is your concern, the type and period of referred data you use for model performance evaluation... However, there are still some papers I think you can refer, such as:

Hi Ankur. Since the Asian subcontinent region has high altitude topography where heterogeneity of climate attributes (especially precipitation) is well evident spatially, it is better to apply some statistical bias corrections based on in-situ observations to your chosen RCM. To choose an RCM for a particular region, you might need some statistical evaluation like e.g. Taylor Diagrams. See below links to get further clear.

Can you suggest any tutorial or way re-grid the RCM data by building model on ArcGIS or other than ArcGIS approach? I have the number of data of CORDEX for many stations (in Excel) which can not regrid easily.

Sir, I have some queries regarding CDO,
1. If dataset in curvilinear form, only I have to change remapbil to remapbic. Are there other changes needed to be followed (steps mentioned in bilinear interpolation)?
2. After opening the source file (Intermediate file), I got the file description two times, one in starting and another one at the end of the source file, So, is there a need to do changes in both ones or only in starting one?
3. One last thing, how to find xsize and ysize for a particular grid?
